Office Space

Aside from being a fantastic movie, Office Space is also very important to remember when designing your abode. So many home offices I see are an afterthought. They generally take the backburner to more 'important' rooms like the family room, kitchen, and dining room. To those who work from home however, the office gets a lot of use and should reflect your personal style just as much as the rest of your home.

Especially if you have a creative job there is nothing worse for inspiration than being surrounded by a room that you don't like. I suggest using the office as a place to display collections, treasures from travel, and other interesting items that you love. Make your office a place that you enjoy going to rather than just a place you have to go to.

What an incredible home office! I love the industrial feel that the aluminum chairs, iron desk, and pendant lights give to the room.

The green and purple color scheme works wonderfully in this adorable office. The mix of patterns found in the rug and the roman shade add so much interest to the room. Even the trash can is cute!

[Decor Pad]

Now that's an organized office! This is no ordinary bulletin board with it's beautiful white fabric and nailhead trim. The storage bins and magazine holders keep this office in tip-top shape.

[Amy D. Morris]

This office is certainly not lacking style! The porcupine pendant is stunning and very unexpected in an office.

[LLoyd Ralphs Design]

The monochromatic color scheme in this rooms gives such a cohesive, polished look. Love those lucite chairs paired with the cowhide rug!

[Belle Maison Blog]

This is such a happy, colorful space to hunker down and get to business. It would almost make you forget you were at work! Almost.

There isn't a real notable color scheme in this office, but somehow it still looks incredibly pulled together. The bookshelves look great adorned with framed pictures.

My Memories Suite Giveaway!

I was contacted by My Memories to review and give away a copy of My memories Suite software (40$ value)! My Memories is rated #1 by Amazon and Topten Reviews!

It is great for those who love to scrapbook or make creative gifts for the holidays. This software can be used to create digital scrapbooks, photobooks, calendars, and cards. The software includes a variety of templates, embellishments, and word art to really personalize your creations.

I decided to put the software to the test with an album of pictures I have from a beautiful summer day spent in the mountains. After browsing through the templates I found the perfect theme with bright, summery colors! I was able to choose a super cute layout to personalize and within minutes I had my first page finished!

[Husband + Brothers]

I can't wait to spend more time familiarizing myself with the software and adding new pages to my scrapbook!

Fall Decor Ideas

33 Shades of Green had the idea of filling a candleholder with acorns or an apothecary jar with pears for a lovely pop of color. These are great accessories for mantels or table centerpieces.

Love the idea of putting dried indian corn and wheat in jars for display. Also if you're feeling particularly crafty you can hit up your own backyard for leaves to dry and frame!

If you have company coming this photo from HGTV serves as excellent dinnertime inspiration. I love the rustic earthy feel of this tablescape. The aged urns are topped with a little bit of moss and tiny pumpkins serve as beautiful centerpieces. The artichokes top off the otherwise neutral tablescape with a pop of color and texture.

Look at the impact a couple of colorful branches make in this entry from HGTV!

Color me happy!

I really don't know what to say about this room except that it is fantastic! Those vintage armchairs upholstered in the most glorious shades of velvet simply pop against the damask wallpaper.

My favorite print has finally made it to the tiling industry. Ikat is now available in mosaic tiles. How divine does that look!? Available at New Revenna Mosaics.

Wow, what an impact that valance has on this kitchen!

These antique French Bergere chairs are such a lovely contrast of classic and modern.
